How to determine if your extended insurance will reimburse our services

Maureen is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCCPA).

 

​If you wish to confirm whether you will be reimbursed or not in advance of your session, please contact your insurance company and give them the following information:

Provider Name:  Maureen Maher

Designation:  Clinical Counselling

Credentials:  Member, Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)

 

Your extended insurance plan might reimburse my services under "Counselling" or "Clinical Counselling". 

I am not a Certified Clinical Counsellor nor am I a Psychotherapist. 

Please be sure you are inquiring about my exact title when contacting your insurance company to confirm benefits or when submitting a claim. 

If you submit a claim under the wrong credential your claim might be rejected.  

You might also have a general category of para-medical services under which Counselling services might be included. 

 

Maureen is also has recognition as a  member of the Association des Naturotherapeutes du Quebec (ANQ) for Quebec residents who are reimbursed under Naturopathy or Naturotherapy.  In Quebec, many insurance companies reimburse our session under your Naturopathy or Naturotherapy coverage category.  THIS APPLIES TO QUEBEC RESIDENTS ONLY.

If insurance reimbursement is important for you, please do not submit intake forms or request to book a session (including a free chat) until you have determined if our services will be reimbursed by your extended health plan or if you intend to cover the cost of sessions personally, as many clients do find the results they achieve is worth the limited cost, compared to long term talk therapies.
